So, here it is, the beginning of a new year! Our family has been busy the last few months with birthdays, celebrations, holidays and much more! Here's a recap of the last few months.
November-
My sister Tiana got married at the beginning of the month, and it sure was a party! We had four birthdays in our families so there were many parties! For thanksgiving, we headed up to St. George to celebrate with Jackson's family who all reside in Utah. It was a nice little get away, with awesome weather and very relaxing.
December-
We had more birthday celebrations throughout the month, and the holidays festivities began! We visited the beautiful Mesa temple lights quite a few times and once while we were there, Jackson met a fellow Kiribati boy that was also adopted at the same time he was, who is now serving his mission here in Mesa! From tamale making parties, to ornament exchanges, and dinners, it sure was a fabulous start to the month. Christmas Eve came fast, and we were surprised to have Jackson's sister and her family fly in to surprise everyone by coming for Christmas! We spent Christmas Eve and morning with my family and Christmas afternoon with his. Anddd it was our baby's first christmas! She sure was a doll, and definitely loved the wrapping paper more than her gifts. OH! Anahlia also started walking!! She is now all over the place keeping us very busy, on our toes after her. :) It sure is fun! New year's eve was a ball, filled with food, karioke, lots of fun! The Sherwood's and Ta'ase's do know how to throw down! It was a great start to our 2012 :)
January-
Anahlia turned 1 years old on the third! We couldn't believe how fast this past year has gone by, and how big our little baby is. She is our little girl, and has an attitude full of sass and spunk, and we wouldn't change it for the world! She is full of energy, very smart, and a very good climber and probably the strongest little one year old I've met. She gives her daddy a run for his money :) We're so thankful to have a healthy happy baby girl and cannot wait to continue to watch her grow and learn everyday. We LOVE her!
As for Jackson and I, we are loving life and taking every day, day by day. There are many opportunities this new year will bring, and we're excited to see where they take us. Oh, and I am now thirty weeks pregnant, so this next little girl will be here before we know it. We can't wait! That's it for now, hopefully sooner than later, I will get another update for you, but until then, hope all is well! Happy New Year!
